Say, dad, is the world?
The world is a circle of leather and perfume
peel and smiles
day and sleep.
Say, Dad, what is evil?
It 's the stupidity of men who are sometimes lost in
in stone paths
and collect pebbles to throw into the air.
Say, Dad, what is heaven?
Space without line or division,
a great fantasy, a night full of light
that has no end nor lust.
Say, Dad, what is life?
A great adventure, a game in hand without the villain.
a chimera that is born and shines forth,
an orange with deep roots,
on a journey that changes us and c'incanta.
Say, Dad, what are the flowers?
Young do that can not walk,
sweet thoughts come out of beautiful minds,
colored smiles of all those we love.
Say, Dad, what is death?
An error, a home where you fall asleep,
a dream, a great oblivion,
an old misunderstanding,
a tired dog that forgets its pain
lie down happy
a fire next to a beautiful evening.
Say, Dad, what are men?
principles are beggars and madmen,
artists and beggars,
wolves and lambs,
small fragile things and wonderful that nothing
enough to win,
everlasting mountains where rivers are born.
Philippe Claudel
